Newport Beach Ladies Book Club, Love The Maybelline Story.

The Newport Beach Pacific Book Club, welcomed me, with a sit down dinner...

Sharrie Williams with The Maybelline Story and the Ladies of the Club, behind her.

Sharon Jackson's cozy home on the Back Bay, in Newport Beach, created a warm and cozy environment, for a sit down dinner and my Maybelline presentation.

A wonderful evening of lively conversation, tasty

hors d' oeuvres, good wine, Frank Sinatra on the stereo, candles and meeting new friends, made the night one to remember.

Everyone loved the book and asked if there was going to be a movie or mini-series?  A suggestion was made, that I publish my blog and offer it as a companion for the Maybelline Story.  I think I will do that very soon.

After reading The Maybelline Story, the Ladies enjoyed seeing my vintage family pictures and Maybelline ads from the 1910's, through the 1960's.

For 5 delightful hours, the Ladies of the Pacific Book Club and I, had a nostalgic walk through Chicago, Hollywood and beyond.  Boy does time fly, when you're having fun!!!

Stay tuned next week, when I visit Steve Snyder, of VAULT CARS and finally get to see my great uncle, Tom Lyle Williams, 1940, Packard Victoria.
