Maybelline's Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher will be forever in our hearts

Debbie and Carrie buried at Forest Lawn in Hollywood

If you haven't seen "Bright Lights" on HBO, watch it.

Debbie Reynold's with Maybelline founder, Tom Lyle Williams, (on the right,) Arnold Anderson (on the left,) and Sparky the dog.  Photo taken at TL's home in Bel Air California, 1950.

Married in 1955, Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher, known as the perfect couple.  Both equally famous, they were the couple..... to wanna be.

expecting their first child....This was the stuff fairy tales were made of.

A 1956,  Maybelline ad, appeared in movie magazines, the same time Debbie and Eddie were expecting their first child, Carrie Fisher.

Goodbye Debbie and Carrie you will be greatly missed RIP.

  1. While so many of Tom Lyle's Celebs were of different eras than Sharrie and I, nevertheless, Sharrie's including a Remembrance of Debbie was so very nice given Deb's most noted hit was well before Sharrie was even a tween!
    - I've always suggested that how we "be" is not static, but moving along a continuum of a range, e.g. introvert/extrovert; passive/aggressive; demure/nympho/etc and mostly all dependent upon fluid? As a naive teen and nowhere into following the "Hollywood scene", for some reason I nevertheless clearly remember feeling negativity toward Fisher throwing Reynold's "under the bus"/over for Hottie Taylor (altho reflecting a few years later, I could kinda 'see' why if I r e a l l y focused on it!) At the time, I also "knew" tho that Fisher would soon be dunked in sweet revenge so very shortly after...Too Funny!
Years later: despite all that and for some reason while living in Vegas in the '90s for a couple of years, went to Debbie's "struggling" casino to see her introduce some comedian "from the old days"...bless her heart. Alas and in many ways, Debbie was a great Model for teens! (Alas, tho Indy is my FAV, I never saw Star Wars to see Carrie and he!)
